| What the Heck is Global Warming? | |||
|
The argument over global warming has caused so much controversy.....in countless forums. Is that a good thing.....is it a bad thing? Who cares.....? People want to argue this point ....seemingly to prove how smart they are. It's all conjecture.
Tridents uneducated opinion only: Billions of years ago, the earth accumulated vast amounts of CO2 from the progression of natural circumstances. There were the basic elements of carbon, oxygen and hydrogen in abundance. Chemical reactions took place which created an entire planet atmosphere of carbon dioxide. As you know.....plants thrive on CO2. They, opposite of us (animal life), expel oxygen. Well, the carbon dioxide was conducive to the creation of algae and possibly other forms of simple plant life resulting over billions of years in a atmosphere of approx 20% oxygen and 80% nitrogen. This induction over billions of yrs resulted in the formation of simple oxygen breathing life and eventually fish and land animals. The process seemed reciprocal. The point being is that this was a long slow process. The happenstance of science. Move to the north several hundred miles.....the temps are 10 deg cooler. Move to the south....10 deg warmer. A very delicate balance indeed. A freak of nature that this has remained stable enough to result in what we have today. It don't take much to alter it. Ice core samples taken in the arctic regions show that in the last 150 or so yrs.....coinciding with the so called, "industrial age" a dramatic increase in CO2 levels. The argument seems to be with the purported, "I’m smarter that you" people is that .....we didn't do it. Who gives a f*** who or why? Was it 10,000 yrs ago that we were fighting mastodons, wearing furs and looking for food when the sun came up- till it went down. Now one farmer with his tractor can feed a million people. This left time for man to explore other areas such as guitars and football. The late great Carl Sagan once said that if you drew a line 1 mile long and called it the beginning of the earth and.....present day. Man's inhabitance on that line would be less than a foot. That is to say.....we're pretty new here. There may have been civilizations before us that have “extincted” themselves and left no trace. The Egyptians, Greeks, Druids and Romans built structures out of stone that have lasted for millennia....and we still haven't figured them out. Us....we build wooden stuff that will be gone in no time flat. The only trace we leave is maybe some Poland Spring bottles, and they'll be gone sometime, too. My whole point of this mindless drivel is that it's a very, very, frail and lucky environment that we live in and it can change causing pain in the a** repercussions. Whether it's cyclic, man made, God..... none of that matters. It's something your children may have to consider. Yes, as always, there are those that will try to capitalize on the possibilities. This may be because they can't think of any way to keep from contributing to these events regardless of how it comes about. They propose taxes and penalties as a result of not addressing their conjecture. I say....eat, drink and be merry.....for tomorrow the colts or giants may win it all again and the end of the world will cheat us all....before we get a chance. Do yourself a favor and Google:

GUN CONTROL Recently the U.S. Supreme Court made a decision to
determine if the 2nd amendment, the citizens right to bear arms, is
applicable to Federal Jurisdiction Areas such as Washington, DC. This
was to determine if individual Citizens in the District of Columbia have
the right to possess handguns. The ruling was not a modification of the
2nd Amendment but more or less a re-hashing of the original
determination as to whether it applied to Federal Jurisdiction
(DC) as implied by the Bill of Rights. The 50 United States are under
State Jurisdiction and this determination is not applicable, unless you
live next to the Capital or in Rocky Mountain National Park. The court,
keeping consistent with the spirit of the Constitution, ruled that, yes
it does pertain to DC. But your Rights may be challenged on more than
the obvious level as President Obama has stated that he favors Handgun
Bans and Gun Opponents are attempting to involve the UN in instituting
International Law: U.S.C. § 311 : US Code - Section 311: Militia: composition and classesAnti-Americans may have found a loop hole, which may be too
unbelievable to be true and should be addressed: |

"YOU DON'T KNOW QUACK?" We have always been of the philosophy that what you see is what you get. That is to say, that if it looks like a duck.....and quacks like a duck.....it's probably a duck. However in some circumstances questionable decisions by less than ethical individuals can lead us to believe that there is more than meets the eye going on behind the scenes. |
